First Look: Inside Suncadia Social, Suncadia’s New $18 Million Village

Suncadia’s biggest addition in years is officially open. Suncadia Social, the resort’s new $18 million retail village, welcomed its first businesses this summer — and on a recent evening visit, it already felt like Suncadia’s new gathering spot.

Set on 11 acres just steps from The Lodge at Suncadia, the village pairs 16,500 square feet of shops and dining with greenbelt walkways and a central lawn. The project marks Suncadia’s 25th anniversary and is part of a broader $40 million investment across the resort. Suncadia celebrated with a three-day grand opening June 19–21 that included a free public concert from country music artist Antwane Tyler.

The commercial buildings were designed by Heliotrope Architects — the same firm behind the recent renovation at Suncadia Lodge — and built by Scout Lake Construction. “At Suncadia, we continue to invest in experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways,” said Mark Thorne, Suncadia’s managing director.

Roslyn Grocery Anchors the Village

At the heart of Suncadia Social is Roslyn Grocery, the beloved local market whose new 5,000-square-foot flagship opened in May at the corner of the village’s main plaza. Owner Amanda Heins has stocked the store with fresh local produce, artisan baked goods, and regional wines and beers, and a mini teaching kitchen hosts classes and events. It’s a full-service answer to a longtime Suncadia question: where do you grab groceries without leaving the resort?

Coffee on the Porch: Cutters Point Is Open

Cutters Point Coffee Co., the Pacific Northwest coffee company, is pouring espresso and serving pastries under a covered porch lined with rocking chairs that look out over the village lawn. The “Now Open” sign was out when we visited, and it’s hard to imagine a better spot to start a slow Suncadia morning. For hours, background, and what to order, see our full Cutters Point Coffee profile.

Two Restaurants Are Coming Later This Summer

The village’s food story is just getting started. Two concepts from General Harvest Restaurants, the Seattle-based group from chef Brian Clevenger, are slated to open later this summer: Eldr, a full-service restaurant focused on elevated seasonal dishes and craft cocktails, and G.H. Pasta & Pizza, a casual Italian spot. Coming-soon signage is already up on the restaurant building. In the meantime, every spot currently open across the resort is in our Suncadia restaurant directory.

The Residences at Suncadia Social

Wrapped around the shops are The Residences at Suncadia Social — 42 mountain bungalows and rowhomes built by Northwest Roots Construction and designed around walkability, with greenbelt paths connecting homes to the village. Model homes are open, limited Phase 1 inventory remains, and some homes are available as vacation rentals. To see how the village fits into the rest of the community, browse our Suncadia neighborhoods guide.

Suncadia Social sits adjacent to The Lodge at Suncadia. For hours and updates, see suncadia.com/suncadia-social. We’ll share a full update when Eldr and G.H. Pasta & Pizza open their doors.
